b. Carefully slide the converter assembly over the input
and reaction shafts. Make sure the converter hub slots are
also vertical, and fully engage the pump inner rotor lugs.
Test for full engagement by placing a straightedge on the
front cover lug should be at least one-half inch behind the
straightedge when the converter is pushed all the way into the
transmission.

h. Install the crossmember to the frame. Lower the trans-
mission to install the mount on the extension to the cross-
