Failure to follow this warning will result in serious burns.NOTERemoval of left side exhaust system for all except M1009 is describedin this paragraph.Right side exhaust system for all except M1009 and both sides of M1009exhaust system are removed the same way except for minordifferences which will be described as they occur.1.Remove 2 bolts (1), nuts (2), Iockwashers (3), and 2 clamps (4) from tailpipe (5). DiscardIockwashers.NOTEFactory-installed muffler (7) and tailpipe (5) are welded to form a 1-pieceassembly. If original muffler or tailpipe require replacement, both mufflerand tailpipe must be replaced. Clamp kits will be required for installation.2.Remove clamp kit (6) and tailpipe (5).
