NOTE
Ensure that piston seal
seated inside caliper
groove,

(6) is fully
bore (8)
Lubricate caliper bore (8) and new
piston seal (6) with clean brake fluid.
install piston seal in caliper bore
groove.
Lubricate new dust boot (7) with
brake fluid, and pressing boot bead
into groove, install into caliper bore
(8) groove.
3.
Lubricate piston (3) with clean brake
fluid. Using wood hammer handle (9)
or “ C“ clamp, install piston into
caliper bore (8). Install bleeder valve
(5) .
4 .
Check that dust boot (7) is still
seated. Reseat dust boot if unseated.
FOLLOW-ON TASKS:

Install caliper assembly and brake pads. (See TM 9-2320-289-20)
