Always wearonly in a well-ventilated area.Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothes and DO NOT breathe vapors.DO NOT use near open flame or excessive heat. The solvent’s flash pointis 100°F-138°F (38°C-59°C). If you become dizzy while using cleaningsolvent, immediately get fresh air and medical help. If solvent contactseyes, immediately wash your eyes with water and get medical aid.Compressed air used for cleaning purposes should never exceed 30 psi(207 kPa). Use only effective chip guarding and personnel protectiveequipment (goggles/shield, gloves, etc.), Failure to follow this warningmay result in serious injury to personnel.Clean drive pinion, shims, slingers, flange, and deflector with dry cleaning solvent and dry withcompressed air.Clean drive pinion bearing bores in housing to ensure that they are free of dirt or othercontamination. Remove any nicks found.Clean and inspect front and rearIf drive pinion is replaced,bearing assemblies in accordance with TM 9-214.NOTEdifferential ring gear and ring gear bolts mustalso be replaced, (See paragraph 6-15.1)Inspect drive pinion for damage.
