Failure to follow this warningmay result in serious eye injury.NOTEIf removing fuel tank shield (25), perform steps 1-5.Access to bolts (12) and washers (11) in step 1, bolts in step 5, andnuts and washers in step 7, is easier with endgate down.1.Remove 2 bolts (12) and washers (11) at tow hook bracket (10).NOTEAt center of rear bumper brace (1), 2 bolts (5) are installed intoweldnuts (2).2.Remove 6 bolts (5), 10 washers (4), and 4 nuts (3), and remove rear bumper brace (1).3.Remove 4 bolts (9), nuts (6), Iockwashers (7), and washers (8) which secure tow hookbracket (10) to rear bumper.
