l Transmission and torque converter are heavy, Use caution and provide support during removal
and installation.
l Dry cleaning solvent is flammable and must not be used near open flame. Use only in a
well-ventilated area.
CAUTION
Transmission (1) should not be removed with transfer case and adapter
installed. Failure to follow this caution may result in damage to
transmission case,

Remove screw (4) and wiring harness
clip (5), and disconnect engine wiring
harness connector (3) from downshift
electrical
connector
