Always replace one mainbearing before replacing any othermain bearing.3.Using blunt-edged tool, unseat uppermain bearing by tapping into engineblock (4) .Rotate crankshaft untilupper main bearing is rolled out ofengine block.NOTEEnsurethatconnectingbearings and connecting rod caps4.5.(11 ) are marked for installation.Remove16 nuts (10) and 8connecting rod caps (11) fromcrankshaft (3) journals. Discard nuts.bolts. Push pistonscylinders. RemoveInstall short piece of 3/4 in. I.D. hose(9) over threads of all connecting rod(12)completelyintocrankshaft(3) .TA506593-49
