If removing main bearings (8) without removing crankshaft (3), perform steps 2 and 3. If removing rear main bearings, also perform step 6. If removing main bearings (8) with crankshaft (3), perform steps 1, 2, and 4-7. Ensure that main bearings (8) and main bearing caps (5) are marked for installation. 1.. Remove 6 bolts (2) and flywheel (1) from crankshaft (3) flange. 2. Remove 2 inner bolts (7) and 2 outer bolts (6), and main bearing cap (5). Remove lower main bearing (8) from main bearing cap. If removing crankshaft (3), repeat this step for each main bearing cap. T A 5 0 6 58 3-48
