Remove shield (8) and valve spring (6) with damper (7).Remove oil seal (9) and valve spring shim (5). Remove valve (12). Discard oil seal.b.CLEANING AND INSPECTION1.Clean valve (12) using buffing wheel.2.Inspect valves (12) for burned heads, cracked faces, and damaged stems. Repair if burned orcracked. (See REPAIR, step 1) Replace valves if damaged. if repair will not bring cracked valvewithin specifications, replace valve.TA506373-25
