Toe AdjustmentINITIAL SETUP:Equipment ConditionTools/Test Equipment• Tires inflated to proper pressure.• Toe-in bar gage(See TM 9-2320-289-10)• Torquewrench• Truck on level ground with wheelsstraight ahead.Personnel Required• MOS 63B (2)a. TOE CHECK 1.I n s p e c t a l l a x l e c o m p o n e n t s f orobvious looseness or damage thatmightaffecttoemeasurement.Tighten or replace as required.2.Measure toe using toe-in bar gage.Place gage at largest point on insideof front tires and toward front so thatchains are just touching ground. Rolltruck forward until chains are justtouchinggroundtowardrear.Maximumtoe-inandtoe-outmeasurement should be no morethan 0.375 in. (0.953 cm).b.TOE ADJUSTMENT••1.2.NOTEIf adjusting toe on all exceptM1009, perform step 1.I f a d j u s t i n g t o e o n M 1 0 0 9,perform step 2.Loosen nuts on adjusting sleeve (1).Rotate adjusting sleeve as required tobring toe within range. Check toe(see TOE CHECK, step 2). Tightennuts on adjusting sleeve to 40 Ib.-ft.(54 N•m).Check toe (see TOE CHECK, step 2). If alinement is off, loosen adjusting nuts (2) at both endsof tie-rod (3) and adjust as required to bring toe within range. Check toe (see TOE CHECK,step 2).
