CLEANING AND INSPECTION

Clean all carbon from burner assembly. Ensure that all holes, ports, and passages are clear of
obstructions. Clean any accumulation of dirt from case.
Inspect flame switch tube for bends or distortion. Metal rod in switch tube must extend at least
1/16 in. (1.59 mm) above top of tube. Replace switch if any of these conditions exist.
Inspect all leads for damage. Inspect connectors for looseness or corrosion. Replace if any of
these conditions exist.
Inspect burner assembly and heat exchanger for damage or burn through. Replace if damaged
or burnt through.
