Compressed air used to remove glowremoved. (See paragraph 3-5)plug should never exceed 30 psi(207 kPa).a.REMOVAL1.Place finger over fuel injector nozzle port. Rotate torsional damper to raise piston in affectedcylinder to “Top Dead Center.”2.Unscrew and move glow plugprechamber.Compression will change when “Top Dead Center” is reached,back and forth to break off glow plug tip into cylinder headWARNINGCompressed air used to remove glow plug should never exceed 30 psi(207 kPa). Use only effective chip guarding and personnel protectiveequipment (goggles/shieid, gloves, etc.). Failure to follow this warningmay result in serious injury to personnel.3.Direct compressed air into glow plug port to remove glow plug tip through fuel injector nozzleport,4.If preceding procedure does not remove broken glow plug, remove cylinder head.
