Greater cylinder bore clearance is provided to allow for greater heat expansion. 9. Measure diameter of cylinder bore (18). Measure diameter of piston (8) 90 degrees from piston pin hole (16) at centerline, Subtract piston diameter from cylinder bore diameter to determine clearance. Maximum clearance is 0.005 in. (O. 127 mm) for 6 front pistons and 0.0055 in. (0.140 mm) for 2 rear pistons. TA50652 3-40
