Inspect crankcase cover (2) for cracks, damage to sealing surface, and damage to crankcase
cover seal opening. Replace crankcase cover if cracked or damaged.

Inspect fuel injector pump driven gear (1) for cracks and damaged teeth. Replace if cracked
or teeth are damaged.
FOLLOW-ON TASKS:
l Install torsional damper and crankcase cover. (See paragraph 3-22)
